The Berliner Chris Zippel (born 5 November 1967) is in the forefront of the European Nu-Ambient movement. Since the late 1980s this producer and re-mixer has occupied his own sweet -sounding enviroment, where he has been joined internationally renowned DJs (e.g. Paul van Dyk), as well as singing legends (Yma Sumac, Ruth Brown, Lavern Baker). He is acknowledged for his creative networking, and has mastered over 300 recordings, making him a kind of multifunctional "Swiss army knife" when it comes to post -production. These qualities are valued by the Pet Shop Boys too. Almost three years of collaboration between Chris Zippel and the iconic British pop duo have produced a number of recordings. Currently working on his third "Genuine - Nu Ambient Grooves" album, Zippel regards his work with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe as the highlight of his career so far.
