(born in 1953), studied painting and history. He maintains a studio in the East Frisian country village Fehnhusen. He has created paintings and installations on the subject of German history such as "Pictures of War" or the series "Jewish Cemeteries" as well as landscapes and travel views. In 2002 Mueller won first prize in an arts contest at the Karl-Simrock-Research Institution in Bonn. Mullers' series of paintings about the Cambodian torture prison Tuol Sleng was shown at the Dutch-German exhibition project "Encounters" in the church of Manum near Groningen.
