THE CULTURE COLLAPSES, THE NATION VANISHES.By : CHHIM SOTHYCambodia/ born 1969ARTIST CV
The Khmer Rouge troops were a clique without culture. When there is culture there is knowledge,
and this ensures a good and dignified livelihood in society. The pictures talk about the
ideological current of the Maoist doctrine that the genocidal Pol Pot regime applied in
Cambodia, following the example of Chinese Cultural Revolution. Pol Pot made the national
anthem of Democratic Kampuchea very famous and turned this country into a killing field- the
country had fallen below zero.
