To Cambodian people, the pin with the black fabric symbolizes sadness when relatives have died. I think that that regime destroyed culture and religion. The people at this time could not mourn for their dead relatives. It was a nightmare in the history of Cambodia – Cambodians killed Cambodians.

A graduate from the Royal University of Fine Arts, Veasna Tith has exhibited at different galleries in the capital she has also recently curated her first exhibition ennamed “I wonder” at the Department of Plastic Arts. She was part of an exchange program “Indonesia Arts and Culture 2007” and was also involved the 2008 Spotlight festival in Phnom Penh.
