7PM: STUMBLING STONES (2007, 75 min, German, Engl. subs) is a doc film about German artist Gunter Demning. He puts metal "stumbling stones" with names and dates in front of houses, where people lived, who were deported into Hitler's concentration camps. Following the screening we invite you for a talk with Salomea Genin. Born 1932 in Berlin to Jewish parents, she fled the Nazis to Australia and returned as a communist to East-Germany in 1963. 20 years later, she realized that she was living in a police state, one in which she had willingly participated. Salomea Genin tells a Jewish story of exile followed by the anguish and joy of her multi-faceted homecoming...
