6PM: Senior Cambodian artists Suos Sodavy (born 1955) creates drawings and assemblages using found materials. Under the Khmer Rouge regime 29 of his family members were killed. He asks: "Were all the people who lived under this regime toys that could be killed and be tortured for pleasure?" 8PM: KAMPUCHEA: DEATH AND REBIRTH (1979, 90min, German, English subs) is the first documentary after the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime by GDR filmmakers Heynowski & Scheumann. The scenes they filmed during spring 1979 are part of history: Phnom Penh left to rampant nature, heaps of skulls and destroyed faces. The reports from the survivors are moving and harrowing.
