HEINRICH BOELL TURNS 100: GERMAN FEATURE FILM & PARTY

4PM: ROOFTOP CLOSED FOR FUNCTION; 8PM: FEATURE FILM - The most important author of the German post-war era was born 100 years ago: Heinrich Böll. Based on Heinrich Böll's 1974 novel of the same name, THE LOST HONOR OF KATHARINA BLUM (1975, 106 min) attempts in the 1970s to shed light on the complex political forces at work in Germany by reaching a mass audience with the themes of political repression and violence, both state and individual. The riveting drama dissects human rights violations in a supposedly democratic country and exposes the yellow press's distortions and lies. It is presented by the Heinrich-Böll Foundation Cambodia. 9PM: TECHNODELIC DJ PARTY
