INDIA’S BROKEN PEOPLE, VIETNAM WAR PHOTO & “CAMERAPERSON”
4PM: DOCU - INDIA UNTOUCHED (2007, 108 min) is the most comprehensive look at the "untouchables" in India. Director Stalin K spends four years traveling the country to expose the continued oppression of the Dalits. 7PM: DOCU - KIM’S STORY: ROAD FROM VIETNAM (1997, 50 min) follows the subject of perhaps the most famous photograph of the Vietnam War. It is also a tale of the personal and public healing of wounds. 8PM: DOCU - CAMERAPERSON (2016, 102 min) is a tapestry of footage collected over the 25-year career of Kirsten Johnson - a moving glimpse into one filmmaker's personal journey and a thoughtful examination of what it means to train a camera on the world.
