WHITNEY HOUSTON, “KAMPUCHEA 1978” & BEUYS DOCU PREMIERE

4PM: DOCU - Using Whitney Houston’s death in 2012 as starting point, WHITNEY: CAN I BE ME (2017, 103 min) investigates her sad, secret life. 7PM: DOCU - KAMPUCHEA 1978 (1978, 30 min) captures the only existing TV interview with Khmer-Rouge-leader Pol Pot. 8PM: DOCU PREMIERE - Joseph Beuys was the first German artist to be given a solo exhibition at Guggenheim Museum. BEUYS (2018, 107 min) lets the artist speak for himself. From previously unpublished audio / video footage director Andres Veiel creates an associative, porous portrait - which, like the artist himself, opens up spaces for ideas rather than proclaiming statements. Presented by Goethe-Institut.
