SOUTH-CHINA-SEA, CAMBODIA’S NEW ECONOMY & “HUMAN FLOW”

4PM: DOCU - John Pilger’s 60th film, THE COMING WAR ON CHINA (2016, 110 min), is a persuasively partisan example of old-school investigative journalism about the on-going South-China-Sea conflict. 7PM: NEW DOCUS & SHORTS ABOUT CAMBODIA’S NEW ECONOMY by students from 8 Phnom Penh universities. 8PM: DOCU - Artist, activist and director Ai Weiwei captures the global refugee crisis, the greatest human displacement since World War II, for the breathtakingly epic film journey HUMAN FLOW (2017, 140 min). An ambitious amalgam of artist's film and political documentary, it’s a grand meditation on how to cut through political apathy with solidarity and visual metaphor.
