RANA PLAZA DISASTER, DRAMA SET IN CAMBODIA & ELECTRO JAM

4PM: DOCU - Some tragedies come so replete with their own symbolism they need no embellishment. The 2014 collapse of Dhaka’s Rana Plaza, a building full of clothing factories, on its own workers, was one of them. CLOTHES TO DIE FOR (2015, 58 min) tells the story of the Bangladeshi disaster bluntly and brilliantly. 7PM: DRAMA, SET IN CAMBODIA - SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT (2009, 107 min) is based on the true story of a young German who falls for (and stands by) an HIV-positive Cambodian bar girl. 9PM: ELECTRO JAM – FRIENDS ELECTRIC continue their long-running residency at Meta. Tonight’s guest is Canadian DJ Marcus iLL. Join them on their journey into sound!
