HOLOCAUST RECONCILIATION, BYE-BYE GDR & BLUES CONCERT
9 November is a day that mirrors German 20th century history unlike any other. This day is the anniversary of many key events, such as the “Kristallnacht” in 1938, when German Nazis attacked Jewish persons and property or the “Fall of the Berlin Wall” in 1989. Visit us for two screenings with topical films. 4PM: DOCU - FORGIVING DR. MENGELE (2006, 82 min) introduces you to a holocaust victim, who decides to forgive the murderer of her sister. 7PM: “TRAIN TO FREEDOM” (2009, 90) takes you the beginning of East Germany's peaceful revolution, paving the way for the fall of communism. 9PM: “BLUES ROUTES” LIVE with Colin Grafton, Keiko Kitamua and Pavel Ramirez.
