SAND WARS, ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUS FROM CAMBODIA, INDIA & BORNEO

4PM: DOCU - From Mumbai to Tangier, Dubai to the Maldives, Denis Delestrac’s SAND WARS (2013, 74 min) bares an emergency: the world's sand is disappearing. The film is a stunning investigation into one of the most consumed natural resources on the planet and the problems our over-consume causes. 7PM: ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUS – Sam Tola’s BEN & THE COMMUNITY follows a community forest project in Preah Vihear (Cambodia). Raphael Treza’s COBRA GYPSIES (2015, 53 min) introduces you to Kalbelia people from Rajasthan. This nomadic tribe excels in catching snakes. BORNEO DEATH BLOW (2018, 53 min) by the same director takes you to the blowpipe-hunting Penan people.
